Afiqah was born in 1994 in Singapore. Being a great lover of art, Afiqah started doing paintings ever since she was nine years old. She attended classes by Mr S. Mohdir, a Singaporean Malay artist, who did mostly watercolor and batik paintings. During that period of time, Afiqah focused mainly on painting landscapes using watercolor as her only choice of medium. In year 2009, Afiqah participated in an anti-drug competition, a design competition to support people of any drug abuse. Graduated from Peicai Secondary School in year 2010, she furthered her studies at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in Western Painting. To broaden the selection of mediums, she started using different types of mediums such as oil paint, ink and charcoal. With a grasp of using oil paint, she focused more on painting still-life objects to get a better understanding of colors. 



Other than painting, Afiqah designs tote bags and sells them locally during her free time. In extras, she showcases some of the designs she did for the past few months. The mediums that she uses are acrylic paint and fabric markers. The designs that she do are followed accordingly to the customers' demands. She hopes that in years to come, she would be able to broaden the market to people in other parts of the world.
